The UK Aid Match appeal funds were used to improve maternal and new-born health for vulnerable women and babies by increasing demand for, access to, and uptake of health services in Isiolo County, Kenya and Karonga District Malawi.

What we achieved

Malawi

Our three main approaches to making pregnancy safer included:

  1. Ensuring access to health services and newborn care essentials.
  2. Encouraging a behaviour change in men.
  3. Challenging harmful practices, such as early marriage.
