On her whistle-stop tour round the South-East region, Zeina shared her story with a good number of supporters and friends of Christian Aid.
She works for Association Najdeh, founded in Lebanon in 1976 to strive for the human rights of women, especially Palestinian refugee women in camps, through different types of empowering programmes.
Christian Aid supports Association Najdeh’s children’s centre in the Nahr al-Bared camp to help young Palestinian refugees recover from trauma, with daily educational and play activities and specialist psychological support.
Women’s rights, vocational training, advocacy also figure in the programme.
Psychologist Diana Abbas, whose image is featured on our 'Be a peacemaker this Christmas' posters, is Zeina's colleague, and provides play therapy for the children in the camp.
Zeina also took part in a special service marking the retirement of the Bishop of Norwich, and in the Advent Hope service in Windsor.
She visited the Houses of Parliament to help Christian Aid raise awareness of the plight of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Will you be a peacemaker?
We're asking churches to tell the stories, pray for peace, make and display our paper peace doves, and hold a collection, concert or a vigil.
Your church can use the Christmas appeal church resources readily available.
