Thanks to lovely ladies of Purton
Recognising four dedicated supporters during Christian Aid Week.
Christian Aid would like to thank four of our wonderful Purton supporters for their support and dedication in making Purton's Christian Aid Week such a great success.
Events took place across Purton throughout the week with local residents gaining the opportunity to watch a murder mystery play, take part in a bring and share lunch, and eat plenty of cake!
Mary, pictured below, spent months preparing for Christian Aid week by planting seeds and pricking out seedlings ready for the Cakes and Plants Sale. She raised over £342 herself in one morning!
Sylvia is the Raffle Queen of Purton, raising over £100 at the raffle morning.
Finally, Libbie and Sandra both celebrated a big birthday at the end of Christian Aid week.
They invited everyone in the village and church to come to a party at St Mary’s Church where they were holding a bring and share lunch.
Well over 100 people came along and brought the most delicious homemade food. Over £530 was raised for Christian Aid!
We'd like to thank these wonderful ladies and all of the Christian Aid supporters in Purton for all their tireless and longstanding support. Thank you.
