Between the 3 to 7 December, the children of New Milton Junior School bought a total of 682 little Christmas cards over their lunchtimes – and raised a fantastic £136.40 for Christian Aid.
It continues a 19-year tradition of their 'little Christmas cards' fundraising initiative.
This year, the children looked through the Christian Aid Charity Gifts catalogue, and were keen to buy enough cards to cover the cost of a mobile health clinic in Kenya (£115) and a goat (£22).
The catalogue proved a great way of focusing the children's attention on our work and what we do, and showed them how their 20p contributions (the price of each card) can make a real difference.
Many thanks to Jacqui Massie and her team for all of their hard work in re-purposing the cards, and selling them!
