Forty Oxfordshire primary schools gathered on four nights this year in Oxford Town Hall to celebrate in song the approach of Christmas, and to raise money for Christian Aid.
Each school sang one of their favourite carols, and all the schools joined together for a mass finale including a Spanish carol – Feliz Navidad.
The enthusiastic audiences of families and friends were invited to join in the well-loved carols, including The Twelve days of Christmas. Schools had created some some brilliantly entertaining props for the twelve verses!
The four evenings raised over £3,600 through donations and raffles.
Thank you to everyone at Oxfordshire County Music Service, without which it wouldn’t be possible.
A big thank you to all who played in the band, and to Debbie Rose for conducting and compering each evening.
Thanks to all the people behind the scenes for making it all run smoothly; to all the teachers for working hard with their school choir; and to all the local businesses and friends for donating exciting prizes for the raffle.
