As Advent begins – that deep, rich, full time in which we prepare our souls to receive the Christ child at his nativity, his rebirth at the heart of the creation – we would like to think more profoundly about who Christ is.

St Paul contemplates Jesus Christ, and sees in him all the fullness of God. As such, Christ is the realisation of true humanity.

Bring hope to our neighbours

This Christmas, 65 million people are away from home. Forced out by violence and fear, they’re searching for safety and refuge. During Advent, we show our love for our global sisters and brothers who are suffering from war, violent oppression and natural disasters.

Could you host an Advent Hope service?

Christian Aid volunteers have written a service of sharing and prayer for you to use in your church this Advent.

If you would like this an Advent service, or one of our excellent volunteer speakers to come to your church during Advent, please email nthorley@christian-aid.org
