Central America governance programming – video methods

This note summarises the approach used to make two short videos contrasting the work of Christian Aid funded governance programmes, one in Guatemala and the other in El Salvador. It sets out the challenges, learning and insights from the process from the perspective of the producers of the videos – and makes recommendations for how to approach similar projects in the future. Trading trainers game

Age: 13+ / Youth group (11-18) The aim of this game is to help the players understand how it is still possible to be poor even if you work hard for a living. The game is set in an imaginary Latin American shanty town, where small family businesses are making training shoes to sell to the local market. Their aim is to make ends meet. However the country itself is in economic crisis and inflation is rocketing. How will they survive?
