Date:

Over 700 people joined us, not just in London at London St John’s Waterloo, but also at 17 regional watch parties across England (and online too!).

supporters, churches and communities came together to hear powerful stories from Beacon of Hope in Kenya, explore fundraising ideas and celebrate the impact we make together.

Changemakers is a reminder of how your local community can transform communities all around the world. It was a truly special day.

We began with a grounding moment led by Dr Frances Clemson, Faith Communications Advisor. It was a quietly powerful way to set the tone for the day.

Final reflections and closing prayer

After their morning session, Jane and Janet stayed on for a deeper conversation with supporters. It was a rare chance to ask questions directly to the people at the heart of our work in Kenya, and a reminder of why hearing directly from the people we work alongside matters so much.

Workshops: ideas, debt and taking action

The afternoon gave supporters the chance to go further in two workshop streams.

The fundraising workshop was an opportunity to share ideas, hear from one another about planned events and activities, and pick up top tips for a successful Christian Aid Week 2026. The energy and creativity in the room was genuinely inspiring.

The campaigns workshop took a deeper dive into the global debt crisis: exploring how debt affects the daily lives of communities around the world and what Christian Aid is doing to challenge the systems that keep people in poverty.
