Our world is changing and the climate crisis is pushing vulnerable communities further into poverty. In response, local people are taking a stand, with support from organisations such as Climate YES Malawi and WoNES Sierra Leone.

We partner with these organisations to better understand affected communities and help them respond to climate change. When you fundraise for Christian Aid, you're supporting this work and making a huge difference to people's lives.

Charity challenges FAQs

What does Christian Aid provide?

Any challenge you choose to take on, you’ll be supported by our friendly events hub who are available on events@christian-aid.org.

You’ll receive from us:

  • A complimentary Christian Aid running vest/t-shirt
  • Check in opportunities over the phone and via email
  • Advice and guidance throughout

What are Christian Aid’s terms and conditions?

All challenge event participants are required to:

  • Register before the deadline
  • Pay a registration fee
  • Confirm that they are fit and well enough to take on the challenge
  • Commit to raising the agreed target and engaging with Christian Aid to help reach it.

How should I prepare for my challenge?

  • Start on your training plan - Mark it in your calendar or use training apps like Strava.
  • Research/plan your route - Get familiar with the terrain and research the route map by using navigation apps like Komoot or Footpath.
  • Set up your fundraising page and share it with your network

If I register, am I guaranteed a place?

It depends on the type of event you have registered for.

Ultra Challenge events require you to reach 50% of your agreed target before final approval. Our higher-demand events, where we hold limited places such as the London Marathon, require you to complete an application form, which is then entered for screening.
