With regards to training for running events, please do listen to government advice. Currently there aren't restrictions to being outside if you are feeling well, so going for a run outdoors is still fine to do. However, don’t overdo it, and look to avoid long, intense runs for the time being. Should we end up in a lockdown situation, outdoor running will no longer be possible. If this occurs, try some body conditioning at home to keep your fitness levels up and develop your core strength. If you are feeling ill, or have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not exercise until you are completely well.
If your running event has been cancelled but you were planning to run the route or distance by yourself, please do not as there is no support (e.g. water stations) or medical assistance available on route making it extremely dangerous.
Take on an active fundraising event, or fundraise with your friends at a more leisurely pace. Whatever you choose, together we can end poverty. Find an event type to suit you below.
