In 2024, the countries of the African continent collectively spent 50 times more, servicing debt, than they recieved in aid from the UK.

The debt and climate crises combined are trapping millions of people in poverty - a throwback to a time we thought we were leaving behind.

The UK Government is uniquely placed - and morally obliged - to make polluters pay and make lenders cancel debts. For 80 years together, with churches and supporters we have stood up and challenged those in power to make the world a more beautiful place.

We can do so again.

We believe in the unstoppable power of hope. And we’ve seen that when we stand united, we are stronger than ever.
