The killing and violence taking place across Gaza, Israel and the West Bank is shocking.

The attacks by Hamas killed 1,400 Israelis and left 5,400 injured. Israeli civilians, including women and children, have been forcibly taken and still being held hostage in Gaza.

Israeli government airstrikes have killed over 10,000 Palestinians in Gaza and injured over 25,000. 1.5 million Palestinians have been displaced, and the Israeli government have cut of access to water, electricity and fuel and scarce supplies are running out.

With Gaza already facing decades of poverty, humanitarian crisis and occupation, military action and a tightened blockade is leading to untold suffering. Airstrikes have caused widespread destruction of homes, schools, healthcare facilities and telecommunication installations. With fuel for generators all but depleted, hospitals are ceasing to function and virtually all water and sanitation services have collapsed.

The international community must hold all sides to account and work to ensure a peace that secures justice, dignity and prosperity for all. We’re calling on UK Foreign Secretary, David Cameron to ensure the UK uses its influence to halt the violence and protect all civilians.

The UK must call on all parties to abide by international law, which includes maintaining humanitarian access, as requested by the UN.

As we pray for an end to the conflict, international leaders must also act and help secure a lasting peace.

Over 300,000 people have already called for a ceasefire. We have delivered their signatures the UK Government along with other organisations.

Add your name and keep up the pressure.
