Florence’s story

A woman sings a deep, joyful tune. Her song lifts the spirits of the other women on the farm. This is Florence.

Christian Aid Week in Scotland

10-16 May 2021

Droughts are now more frequent and more intense due to the climate crisis. Rose and her family, and millions of people in Kenya, are struggling to get enough food and water.

In Scotland, we are surrounded by 30,000 freshwater lochs, lush countryside and thriving agriculture.

This Christian Aid Week, every envelope, every gift matters.

Together we stop this climate crisis.

75 anniversary

75th Anniversary service

In times of extreme challenge, community is born when we stand together – Christian Aid began in response to the refugee crisis following WW2. In a time of weakness and crisis, the churches in the UK did not retreat into themselves and their own recovery but saw a wider need and responded.

Join us on 9 May for our anniversary service co-hosted by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
