Solidarity Sleepout

Spend a night sleeping rough to raise money for Christian Aid while raising awareness of internal displacement.

Invite a group from your church, youth group, workplace or university society, to raise money for the work of Christian Aid.

The Solidarity Sleepout provides a unique method of raising awareness and campaigning on behalf of people who are internally displaced. All funds will go to wherever the need is greatest.

Camp out for those who have no place to call home

You could camp out, sleep in your local church hall or hang up a tarpaulin and sleep rough. Add in a simple meal and share stories to make your solidarity sleepout a night to remember.

Writing to your MP and gaining press coverage for your sleepout can have a big impact. It’s big statements like the Solidarity Sleepout which influence our politicians and raise awareness of this issue.

People who are internally displaced, like refugees, have had to flee their homes, often from war or natural disaster. They are unable or unwilling to escape to another country; they do not have the basic human rights that refugees are afforded.

Step outside your comfort zone!

Our free 10-step guide has advice and ideas for your Sleepout.
