The Uprooted Exhibition in Truro Cathedral

Event details

address:

Truro Cathedral, St Mary's Street, Truro, TR1 2AF, United Kingdom

date:

Come to Truro Cathedral for a powerful and inspiring exhibition, telling stories of some of the world's unseen 40 million people forced from their homes. The Uprooted and Overlooked exhibition is a series of powerful images and individual accounts, giving a face and a voice to the global crisis of displacement, its consequences, and the challenges displaced people face. A set of photographs will highlight the personal stories and vulnerability of people forced to leave their lives behind by Boko Haram in Nigeria, conflict in Iraq and intense drought in Kenya. The free exhibition is at Truro Cathedral from 21 October to 2 November, as part of One World Week; a week to share understanding of global issues and to recognise that together we can make a difference.
