Postponed: Sheffield's Sponsored Family Walk for Christian Aid
St. Luke's Church
This event has been postponed due to Covid-19. Further updates will come as we hope to rearrange.
This is an annual sponsored family walk (previously the May Day Trek), which raises money for Christian Aid. Starting on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park the 5 mile circular walk takes you past some of the most beautiful scenery on the Yorkshire/Derbyshire border.
To book your place go to: sheffield-sponsored-family-walk-caid-2020.eventbrite.co.uk
Since it began in 1966 as the May Day Trek, the walk has raised thousands of pounds to help some of the poorest communities in the world. This year we are hosting it on a Saturday morning and there will not be the option of a longer walk (as there has been in previous years). This year will also include challenges along the way, ideal to keep the whole family entertained.
For more information please go to sheffieldmaydaytrek.org.uk/, but note that registration on the day opens at 9:30am for a 10am start.
If you're interested in taking part in a more challenging walk then please do consider our Night Hike Challenge? This is a 9 or 17 miles walking challenge on Saturday 27th June, 2020, and is ideal for youth groups those walkers up for more of a challenge! Visit: sheffieldnighthike.org.uk for more details.
