Join us for a Harvest coffee morning and explore stalls from local justice organisations.
What to expect on the day
Christian Aid’s Dorchester and District Committee has invited a range of local justice organisations to run stalls and give information about their activities at a coffee morning on Saturday 19 October.
The event, which takes place at the United Church, Dorchester, from 10am-12pm, will include stands from Freedom from Torture, Hilfield Friary, Traidcraft, Tools with a Mission, the Palestine and Israeli Peace Group, the Sudan Appeal and Christian Aid.
It will be officially opened by Dorchester’s Mayor Richard Biggs and will include coffee, cakes, second-hand books, Fairtrade goods, charity cards, bric-a-brac and a range of gifts.
Committee chair Tony Boyden explains why the event is such a good opportunity: 'It is particularly important at this time of intolerance nationally to show how groups are helping drive out poverty and bring about justice in the world.'
Entry is free.
