Christian Aid Week 2019 Stories

Meet Others - Hear Stories - Share Ideas

All Christian Aid supporters are welcome to our annual Poverty and Pastries event in Sheffield.

We’re really excited about bringing together supporters from across South Yorkshire to meet one another, share ideas and be inspired by the work of Christian Aid.

Alongside coffee and croissants, there will be resources, information and ideas for this year's Christian Aid Week. Tom Wyke, Regional Coordinator for South Yorkshire, will be sharing the stories from the work of our partners in Sierra Leone, which is the focus of Christian Aid Week 2019.

This year Christian Aid is standing together with churches, communities, and our global partners, to make childbirth safe for all mums and babies. Pregnancy should be a time of joy, not a time of fear.

There will be opportunities to be inspired by some success stories from last year’s fundraising across our region and share some of the challenges being faced by church reps and Christian Aid Group Organisers.

In addition, there will be a pre-recorded message from Prospery Raymond (Christian Aid’s Haiti Country Manager) about the impact that the money raised from Christian Aid Week 2018 is having there.

For more information about the event, or to confirm you will be coming, please contact Tom on twyke@christian-aid.org
