London Carol Service

Event details

address:

St John's Church, Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8TY, United Kingdom

date:

We warmly invite you to our carol service. Taking the theme ‘enough for everyone’, this year’s Christmas Appeal focuses on the serious need to tackle malnourishment in many of the communities where we work, as well as food waste in this country. The carol service will be a time for reflection, prayer and praise to God and a way to think differently about our Christmas preparations. There will be an opportunity to donate to our appeal during the service and to chat with other attendees over refreshments after the service. Special guest speaker Our special guest speaker is The Rev Lucy Winkett, Rector of St James’s Church, Piccadilly. Lucy broadcasts regularly on religion, gender and contemporary culture and is a long-standing contributor to Radio 4’s Thought for the Day. She was a founding adviser for the public theology think tank, Theos, and the co-founder of Leading Women, a national development programme for women clergy. You can read more about Lucy here Let us know you're coming This is a free event. All we ask is that you register for a ticket for you and your friends, so that we know how many people are coming. You can still come along even if you don’t have a ticket.   For registration enquiries, please contact Dawn Johnson on 020 7523 2088 or email her at djohnson@christian-aid.org.
