We're delighted to be welcoming Daoud Nassar of Tent of Nations to Glasgow.

All are welcome to come and hear about his pursuit of peace and justice and struggle to keep hold of his family farm in the hills above Bethlehem.

What to expect

Daoud will speak of the numerous challenges they face – whether that be access to water, encroachment of Israeli settlers upon their land or the ongoing court case.

He'll also talk about the family's deep commitment to the land, to non-violence and their "refusal to be enemies" before spending some time talking about the impact of the Israeli government on people such as the Nassars.

About Daoud Nassar and Tent of Nations

Daoud is a Christian, peace advocate and educator from Bethlehem.

Tent of Nations is a farm run by the Nassar family just south of Bethlehem on the Palestinian Territories of the West Bank.

The family, as with many Palestinians, have been denied the right to build on their land and has been involved in a long-running court case to ratify the ownership of their land. The case has been in the courts for decades and has been delayed numerous times (including five times in the last year) – despite them having all the necessary paperwork.
