Are you passionate about empowering primary school pupils to act for global justice? Do you have experience of working with children in education? If this sounds like you, then we'd love to welcome you to a regional training event as we recruit new volunteer Christian Aid Teachers for an exciting new scheme launching in January 2018. About the training day The day is for existing and potential Christian Aid Teachers and others, including clergy and church workers, who are interested in supporting the new Global Neighbours Accreditation Scheme which we are developing in partnership with the Church of England Education Office.   The training aims to equip delegates to support schools taking part in the scheme from January 2018 onwards and will include: the Global Neighbours Accreditation Scheme (the main focus of the day) the role of a Christian Aid Teacher the church school context working safely as a volunteer in schools support that Christian Aid Teachers can expect from Christian Aid. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and volunteers can claim travel expenses.   Diocesan staff training While diocesan staff are welcome to attend this training, separate briefings and training events will be provided for interested Diocesan Schools’ Advisors and Diocesan Directors of Education. The training will be tailored specifically to these roles rather than to the role of a volunteer, so we encourage you to take part in these sessions instead. To book a place, please email our Bristol Office, letting us know if you have any special dietary needs.
