Join us on Saturday 11 May at Winchester Cathedral for two consecutive fundraising events for Christian Aid Week.
Big Bike to Brekkie
Get sponsored to cycle from your home to Winchester Cathedral and be rewarded with breakfast at the refectory, served from 9.30-10.45am.
This event is open to riders of all ages and stages, from near and far. Come on your own or with a group, and create a route to suit you. Find out more about the event on the FAQs below.
Chain of solidarity for Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone is the most dangerous place in the world to become a mum. Money that could be spent on maternal health services is instead paying off the debt for the Ebola crisis.
At 11am we'll form a mass loop of cycles in front of the cathedral, ring our bells and raise our voices to drop the Ebola debt.

How do I get sponsored for Big Bike to Brekkie?
This is a fundraising event for Christian Aid. Once you've registered, do please set up a sponsorship page on JustGiving
If you need paper forms, drop us a message or email the Southampton office
What if I don't want to get sponsored?
We'd still love to see you - we'll ask you to pay £5 for your Big Brekkie on the day, and any further donations are gratefully received. Please still register in advance so we have enough food prepared.
How do I get there?
The closest road access is from Great Minster Street. Bikes can be left in a specific area of the cathedral's outer close next to the refectory and Great Minster Street.
A steward will be on hand to assist with parking and to keep a general eye on things. However, we cannot take responsibility for the security of your bikes - please bring a suitable lock.
Breakfast will be served in the Paul Woodhouse Suite, next to the main cathedral refectory.
I'm bringing a big group, what should I do?
If you are registering a large group en masse - eg, a cycling club - please give your best estimate of the likely number of cyclists on the day.
You may choose to get sponsorship together as a group rather than individually, and/or alert riders that they'll be invited to make a donation to Christian Aid on arrival.
We look forward to seeing you!
