Flooded street in Haiti

Hurricane Irma

Thousands of families across the Caribbean have been affected by Hurricane Irma, the most powerful hurricane to hit the Atlantic Ocean in a decade.

With wind speeds of up to 295km/hour, the storm reached the highest category five status destroying buildings, schools and roads in its wake. More than 60 people have been killed and families across the Caribbean are now without homes, food or shelter.

In Haiti, our partner Haiti Survie is evaluating the situation. It has distributed food and hygiene kits to more than 100 families in north of the island.

Christian Aid is working with other ACT Alliance members in Haiti and the Dominican Republic to provide basic support to survivors.

Please donate to our emegencies fund so we can reach as many families affected as possible.

Help us to provide urgently needed shelter and supplies to those affected by Hurricane Irma in Haiti.
