Angela provides support and advice on research funding schemes to strengthen our research income growth and to enhance Christian Aid’s research projects portfolio.
Angela joined the REL team in March 2021. She was previously the Research Funding Officer at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. In her role, she contributed to increasing the University research income by advising academics on funding schemes, developing grant applications, and disseminating research funding opportunities across the Social Science and Arts & Humanities departments and schools.
She has carried out several roles in partnership and development teams at Climate Analytics, Muslim Aid and Crown Agents supporting the development, management, and coordination of fundraising activities and developing funding proposals from national and global institutions.
She has also recently completed consultancy work with the University of Roehampton, where she managed a portfolio of proposals for the Humanities and the School of Art.
Angela, who is originally from Italy, has lived in Germany, Dominican Republic and India.
Angela holds an MSc in International Development (Economics), the University of Kent and an MA in European Funding & Project Management (Sapienza University of Rome).
