The conflict in the Middle East has taken a devastating toll on innocent lives. Before the ceasefire was agreed, civilians endured unimaginable suffering as violence escalated.
While the death, destruction, and displacement in the region are overwhelming, there's still hope. With your support, our partners can provide lifesaving supplies to civilians caught up in this conflict.
Every gift brings hope to people hit by crisis. Any additional funds raised beyond the immediate need, will be used to support our wider global work, ensuring we can respond to emerging crises and continue fighting poverty in communities worldwide.
What’s happening in the Middle East?
For the last 15 months, civilians have seen relentless bombardment, displacement and deprivation
More than 46,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, many of those children. With homes and infrastructure flattened, nearly 2 million people have been displaced, forced to face extreme hunger and disease in overcrowded shelters. We've seen the same trend of death, destruction and displacement in Lebanon too.
With a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas welcomed, sustainable peace is not possible until the illegal occupation of Gaza, and the West Bank – including East Jerusalem – is ended and Palestinians and Israelis are treated as equals. World leaders need to immediately support a locally led reconstruction plan for Gaza to provide hope for the future.
