Photos: Beirut friends: our life in photos

Lebanon is home to 1.3 million Syrian refugees – more than half of them children. These young people are coping with the trauma of war and displacement, and often poverty and exclusion in their country of exile.

We have been working with one of our Lebanese partners, Mouvement Social, to teach photography to a group of young Syrians and Lebanese children, to help them express their emotions, adjust to new surroundings, and build relationships between the two communities.

For three months, they’ve been keeping online photo diaries. Here are some of our favourites:
