Inspired by the hymn 'When I needed a neighbour', this year's Count Your Blessings calendar offers daily opportunities to give, act and pray during Lent.
'Were you there?' - a question, asked by children, that echoes through history. And if you were there, what did you do?
Were you there when the flood came? When the war raged? When people had no safe place to call home? Were you there to call for justice, to stand in solidarity, to pray for and practice peace?
For more than 70 years, Christian Aid has been there because of committed, passionate people like you. Together we have been making a difference, helping people living in poverty to transform their lives.
Count Your Blessings
'Were you there?' will be the soundtrack to our journey through Lent towards Easter this year. Our latest Count Your Blessings calendar encourages us all to pause along the way to contemplate, as Christians, who and whose we are.
We'll reflect on how we live out our Christian faith and how we follow the Jesus who calls his friends to radical hospitality. We will be inspired again by his sacrificial love which breaks down barriers, builds bridges and demands justice for those who live in poverty.
Through your generosity and vision, we can be sure that we are there today, offering help and hope to those with no safe place to call home.
And this year, we will also be pausing with pancakes before we set off on our Lent journey. Pause with Pancakes is our new fundraising and worship resource for Shrove Tuesday.
