Scotland has a proud record of striving to be a responsible nation. Christian Aid Scotland believes that the next Scottish Government should continue to demonstrate that it is prepared to tackle both the symptoms of global poverty and the structural causes that keep people poor.

Thank you for making your voice heard

Thank you to everyone who took part in the range of hustings events (both real and 'virtual') in advance of the Scottish election 2011. We know that politicians were impressed by how well-attended the events were.

Hundreds of emails have also been sent to candidates all over Scotland about the key issues in the Christian Aid Scotland Manifesto. Please feel free to forward us any responses you have received! Simply email dgreen@christian-aid.org.

Now that the election is over we need to hold politicians to account for what they've promised to deliver on international poverty-related issues over the next five years.

Thanks again for your support and watch this space for further updates.

In the meantime, we haven't forgotten about the UK government either. You can get involved in contacting your MPs at Westminster on climate change and tax justice issues NOW!
