4 September (Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost)
Creator of the galaxies,
ruler of the uttermost reaches of space,
you are nearer to us than hands and feet,
closer to us than our next breath.
We sense your Presence
in the tightly curled rose bud
and in the open arms of a golden beach.
We hear you in the sound of wind and waves
and in the soft chatter of happy children.
Your Presence is woven into the life of the world
and into our lives
and we are glad to sing your praise.

11 September (Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost)
O Lord our God,
We pray that the seed we sow
today will bring a harvest that
causes continued dew upon the
earth to sustain the seed in our hands.
May we always have seed to sow
and rejoice when we see the
transformation that reflects the image
of God in your people all over the world.
Esther Musili, Executive Director of ADSE, a branch of the Anglican Church in Kenya, from Christian Aid's Harvest resources 2016
18 September (Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost)
God of all creation,
make our hearts restless.
Call us to act,
move us to give,
inspire us to pray.
May your love for all creation
fill us down to our toes.
Make our bodies restless
to do your will.
From Creation Sings Your Praise, edited by Annabel Shilson-Thomas, Canterbury Press, 2009
25 September (Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost)
Help us to walk with a new lightness of step
And give us the resolve to touch the earth lightly
in our living in your world.
