Micah 4, 6-7
Something to read
On that day, says the Lord,
I will assemble the lame
and gather those who have been driven away,
and those whom I have afflicted.
The lame I will make the remnant,
and those who were cast off, a strong nation;
and the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion
now and for evermore.

Something to think about
God shows the way forward, His love and care is expressed clearly and in a specific manner. The lame who have been discarded, are being assembled, made worthy and given responsibility. Those who have been rejected and cast out will be brought back, to play a strong and a meaningful role in the restoration. The affliction has been purposeful and conscious.
Thus we see that hardly anything has happened without meaning, plan and purpose as we are given hope for the future. This goes beyond restoration, as a new structure is created and is for those who have remained hopeless and frustrated, but kept the lamp of hope and trust burning. This gives enormous encouragement to many in the world today who continue to live in hopeless situations.
Something to do
Keep encouraging people in distress and painful situations. Build and renew relationships that will reassure and comfort them.
Something to pray
Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom to build and renew relationships that will prosper and be blessed.
