Recycle your ink cartridge

Christian Aid has teamed up with Environmental Business Products (EPB) to raise £12, 000 over the next 12 months for developing countries by recycling printer cartridges. For every recyclable printer cartridge EPB receives, it will donate £1 to Christian Aid.

Around 65 million printer cartridges are used in the UK every year. Only 15% of these are recycled – the rest are crammed into landfill sites.

If we recycled more, we’d help to conserve fossil fuels, which in turn would reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, a major cause of global warming.

That’s why Christian Aid has teamed up with Environmental Business Products (EPB). Our goal is to raise £12, 000 over the next 12 months for developing countries by recycling printer cartridges. For every printer cartridge EPB receives, it will donate £1 to Christian Aid.

What your recycled printer cartridges can buy

• £1 will buy two exercise books for children attending school in the Dominican Republic
• £7 could buy a stethoscope for a health worker in Cambodia
• £11 will teach a child in the Democratic of Congo how to use a computer.
