The Christian Aid Collective has internship opportunities throughout the UK. Use your skills to make a difference, help change lives and gain invaluable experience in the charity sector...
Education ends. It's a fact of life as inevitable as the sun setting and Reality TV. So once you step out from under those gleaming spires of academia all you really have left to look forward to is your future.
And you'll probably take a breath and wonder to yourself: now what?
Well here's an idea. How about changing the way young people think? How about making a difference? How about channelling your skills into something important and potentially life changing?
Who we're looking for
If you're over 18, passionate about global justice, and able to communicate this passion to a young audience, particularly in churches, we'd love to have you apply for our the Christian Aid Collective Internship.
From mid-August to June each year, we have placements for interns in offices around the UK and in our London team.
What you'll do
You'll volunteer full time for 10 months mainly with young people, informing and inspiring them to get involved in the anti-poverty movement. You will also be sent on a two-week trip to a developing country to see our work in action.
Of course each internship will have its own unique opportunities and challenges but generally speaking most of our volunteer interns find that their work includes some of the following:
Leading talks, youth group sessions or workshops on global issues.
Organising events to raise awareness.
Sometimes working evenings and/or weekends (but having time off in the week to make up for this).

What's in it for you?
We'll give you great support and provide you with opportunities to develop your skills and experience. We'll cover the cost of your accommodation and reimburse out of pocket expenses for travel, food and toiletries while you volunteer with us.
Add to that the incredible opportunity to meet and talk with our international partners first hand and there's no joining fee or payment on your part.
We think that the Christian Aid Collective genuinely have one of the most competitive and rewarding internships in the charity sector.
By the end of your time with us, you should have loads more confidence, be a great public speaker and have gained a huge amount of experience at working in the development sector.
In fact, former participants have gone on to work for Oxfam, Amnesty, ActionAid, Restless Development, TearFund, MTV: Staying Alive, SPEAK, People & Planet and many others. Of course many go on to work for Christian Aid too.
