Change the world with Platform2

Platform2 is a unique scheme offering British 18-25 year olds the opportunity to volunteer in a developing country for 10 weeks and then creatively express their experience back home.

What stands Platform2 apart is that it is aimed at young people who don't have access to the financial support needed for a traditional gap year.

Volunteers get to visit countries such as Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Peru, India or Nepal, for a 10-week placement which will make a real difference to the local community. All of the work is locally operated and supervised, and sustainable.

The project is aimed at young people who wouldn't be able to afford a traditional gap year.

On their return well give them a platform to creatively express their experience through art, film, photography, blogging whatever theyre into. They can use it to tell people about their trip and what its like to live in a developing country.

Platform2 is different to most overseas volunteering opportunities because its aimed at people who wouldnt otherwise be able to afford to do something like this. It's fully-funded by the Department for International Development.

Christian Aid is running the project in partnership with BUNAC.

If youre 18 to 25 (at the time of travel), have/are eligible for a UK passport, and want to make a difference to people in the developing world, heres your chance.
