Long term Christian Aid supporter and artist, Timothy Vivian, has generously donated his life's work of paintings to Christian Aid.
"I offer my works as a celebration of God's visual creation and human construction."
Timothy, from Pershore near Worcester, is now in his eighties. He's known locally from his past work as an art teacher, a lecturer at Worcester College (now University) and as a Christian Aid organiser.
In April and May 2010, Timothy displayed the whole collection of his lifetime's work in a 'Retrospective' exhibition at Worcester Cathedral. An auction was held and over £3,600 was raised for Christian Aid.
The style of Timothy's paintings has been inspired by his travels and scenes of nature. He says, "Over the years I have been painting, I have developed a technique of extreme looseness, aiming at abstraction, but never achieving it.
"It is like embarking on an adventure; a searching into unknown areas of reality. I find the experience exciting. I offer my works as a celebration of God's visual creation and human construction."
How to view and buy Timothy's art
Timothy has donated about 100 of the remaining paintings to Christian Aid. They are available to view and purchase online at www.timothyvivian.co.uk.
Since the website's launch in October 2010 there has been great interest and a stream of sales.
All money raised from the sales will be given to Christian Aid. So, as well as owning an original, beautiful artwork, buyers will know that their contribution will make a huge difference in alleviating poverty in desperate situations around the world.
