Thank you for taking part in Count Your Blessings this year. We hope the journey gave you a fresh perspective this Lent and that our daily reflections both inspired and challenged you.

The money you donate, however small, will support some of the poorest communities in the world out of poverty.

How your money helps

xMavluda Akhmedova lives in a rural village in Tajikistan. Despite living in poverty herself, she will often give away her preserved winter vegetables to poorer families rather than selling them.

With the support of Christian Aid partner the Youth Eco Centre (YEC), Mavluda has led and inspired thirty women and men in her community to establish a thriving market gardening cooperative.

Members of the community are now able to grow everything from cucumbers to raspberries, ensuring they have enough to eat through the hard winter months.
