Fundraising volunteer

As a fundraising volunteer, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your administration, fundraising and organisational skills to help our supporters raise vital funds for Christian Aid. Leading in the organisation of collections at train stations, supermarkets and sports venues, you will work closely with regional coordinators to contact local churches to get support for these activities. This role is particularly suited to a university student, and as part of the role we would like you to plan and organise your own university fundraising event, supported by our small and friendly team in the Leeds office.

Fundraising thank-you volunteer

In this role, you will be a key support to our small admin team in Leeds. You'll help us to process financial forms received from our supporters and send thank you letters. By helping us to administrate funds and keep our records up to date, you will be using your skills to support our fundraising and look after our income. This vital role helps us to provide the appropriate funding to our partners overseas to tackle the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

This role will commence in mid-May 2016 and we would hope to train someone in late April. Ideally the candidate would be available to volunteer on Wednesdays. This role is particularly suited to students who would like to build up their skills in the workplace. Will you volunteer with us this summer?

Join our speaker team

Christian Aid speakers share stories about the work of our partner organisations with churches and other groups, and inspire people to give, act and pray for our work.

We would like to expand our team across Yorkshire, particularly in Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster, Calderdale, Dewsbury, Castleford, Wakefield, Barnsley and the Harrogate district. We're looking for volunteers with links to church networks who can be available 10 Sundays a year.

You will need to have experience of public speaking, confidence within a church setting and be committed to the work of Christian Aid.

You will receive resources, training and the support of staff and other volunteers. We pay out-of-pocket expenses.
