Welcome to our new Legacy and Regional Coordinator

Emma Peak - Legacy and Regional Coordinator1 September 2014

Having moved to the North East ten years ago, Emma considers herself an adopted Northerner.

Emma lives in Sunderland where she enjoys running, volunteering and being a part of her local church.

Emma’s role as Legacy and Regional Coordinator includes working with churches and volunteers, enabling you to fundraise and engage with Christian Aid. She has specific responsibility for activity within County Durham and Cleveland. She will also be giving talks to raise the profile of and spread the message about our work and can come and speak in your area.

Another aspect of her role is supporting and working with people who decide to leave a legacy to Christian Aid in their Will. Legacies are vital to Christian Aid as they provide about 10% of our overall income: which is more than enough to pay for all of our work in Latin America and the Caribbean!

Will Aid

An excellent way for you to plan for your legacy to future generations is by getting involved in Will Aid. This is a special partnership between the legal profession and nine of the UK’s best loved charities, one of which is Christian Aid. During November 2014, local participating solicitors waive their fee for writing or updating a basic Will, instead inviting clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid. You can find out more online at willaid.org.uk or you can contact Emma.

Through our actions and our legacy Christian Aid can change lives and the future of some of the world’s poor.

Get in touch

If you would like to meet to discuss your leaving a legacy to Christian Aid, or if you are based in County Durham or Cleveland and have a great idea you would like to talk through, Emma would be delighted to hear from you. Please call Emma on 0191 464 4785 or email epeak@christian-aid.org to get in touch.
