Going over the edge for poverty

Christian Aid supporter abseils down church22 October 2013

Christian Aid North East is asking churches to go over the edge for poverty this year by holding an abseil off their church tower.

Whether your church is old or new, in a city or village, small or big, we want to hear from you.

Last year's success

In 2012, Christian Aid supporters across North East England abseiled down the Vermont Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne and raised more than £4,500 for Christian Aid.

A special thank you to everyone who took part, and we hope we can build on the success of it this year.

All abseils will be carried out by a professional abseiling company and Christian Aid staff will work closely with you to ensure that your event is a great success.

If your church is interested in holding an abseil, please contact Bex Turner, our events fundraising officer, on rturner@christian-aid.org or 01925 582826.
