Current opportunities

New roles - Supporter Care Volunteers (pre or post-Christian Aid Week posts)

In these roles, you'll be a key support to our small admin team in our central Loughborough office during the busy period in the run-up to, or following, Christian Aid Week.

Pre-CAW calling role: Ahead of Christian Aid Week we are challenged with contacting every Christian Aid group organiser and church representative in receipt of a Welcome Pack. You'll encourage our supporters to engage with and order our resources, making them aware of any deadlines. You'll help them feel supported and answer any questions they may have, while keeping our database up to date and supporting the administrative work involved in the Christian Aid Week process.

We would be looking to induct a volunteer in late January with the role commencing from the beginning of February onwards. Ideally, you would be able to volunteer 6 or more hours a week on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Post-CAW role: You'll help us to process donations from groups and supporters, processing forms, investigating queries and sending thank you letters. By helping us in this role at this exceptionally busy time of year, you will be using your skills to support our fundraising and look after our supporters.

This role will commence in early May 2017 and we would hope to train someone in late April. Ideally the candidate would be available to volunteer on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Join our Greenbelt Festival team

Do you love festivals, Christian Aid, music, arts and camping? The Greenbelt arts festival is a key event in Christian Aid’s calendar. It enables us to get our message across to festival-goers who, like us, are passionate about putting their faith into action to challenge global poverty and injustice. Volunteers are vital to making our presence at Greenbelt a success.

As a festival volunteer for Christian Aid at Greenbelt, you'll be part of a fabulous team and make a practical contribution to our work. You’ll be engaging with festival-goers and getting our message across – and in between shifts you’ll also get some time to enjoy the festival!

In return for working one shift each day, you'll receive free entry to the festival, access to our dedicated volunteers’ camping area, meals throughout the weekend, a discount voucher for the on-site bookshop and free access to the campsite showers – luxury! You'll also get the training you need for your role, and be part of a fun and friendly team.

We have vacancies for volunteers on our Youth, Café, Logistics and Supporter Engagement Teams.  For more information, please contact eastmidlands@christian-aid.org
