Burundi partner to visit this October

Visiting Burundi Bishop

16 August 2013

We are delighted that in October we will be visited by Bishop Martin Blaise Nyaboho, Bishop of the Makamba Diocese in Burundi.

Bishop Martin will be visiting to share with us the work of Christian Aid partner The Provincial Development Committee of the Anglican Church of Burundi, of which he is Chair.

This valued partner is exploring microfinance, community development and beekeeping, among other exciting work. By reaching and bringing together all sectors of Burundian society, it sets out to repair relationships damaged in the war.

About Bishop Martin

Before becoming Bishop, Bishop Martin was a community development officer and has hands-on experience of delivering development projects in Burundi.

His particular areas of expertise are community development, peace building and reconciliation, HIV/AIDS and elections.

We are very much looking forward to hearing about his work and learning more about life in Burundi.
