Share our Hunger for Justice this October

India's march for justice

Thursday 19 June 2014

This October, hundreds of churches around the country will be urging local politicians to tackle climate change and sharing the same prayer. Will yours be one of them?

Hunger for Justice

The next two years are important in securing the safe, clean future we want to see. Global summits will take place and deals will be made that could prevent runaway climate change.

Our leaders will only take action to make things better when they hear loud and clear that this is an issue we really care about.

We're fighting climate change in a million different ways, and we expect them to do the same.

A weekend of prayer and action for our climate

Here in the East Midlands, we have an opportunity to make our voices heard and ensure that the manifestos of the main UK parties contain strong climate commitments.

Over the Hunger for Justice Weekend (18–19 October) it would be fantastic if every MP in the East Midlands was invited to meet with local churches.

Ask your church to get involved, invite your MP to come along to meet you, and join together in prayer and action.

Stand alongside the millions around the world affected by our changing climate.

We believe we can head towards a world that is better and brighter than the one we have now.

A world where we find joy in ‘enough’, rather than striving for more.

A world where we all can share in God’s creation, rather than the rich getting richer, taking up ever increasing resources while the majority get poorer.
