Christian Aid regularly uses street fundraisng teams to help raise money for and awarenes of our work around the world.
How you can tell that the street fundraisers raising money for Christian Aid are genuine
Christian Aid regularly has face-to-face fundraisers out and about publicising our vital work.
Each fundraiser wears a visible identity badge and will be able to tell you about some of the projects we support overseas.
All our fundraisers must adhere to the strict code of good conduct laid down by the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association.
We carry out frequent monitoring to make sure this code of conduct is followed, but also to make sure these fundraisers represent Christian Aid in a way we can be proud of.

Why we use face-to-face fundraisers
We greatly value our loyal supporters who give, year-in-year-out through churches, during Christian Aid Week, or by post and online.
However, not everyone may have heard of Christian Aid or the work of our partners supporting poor and vulnerable communities.
In particular younger people don’t tend to come into contact with Christian Aid in these more traditional ways.
We believe that our goal to end poverty is shared by many and our face-to-face fundraisers help us to give more people the chance to join our movement to fight injustice.
The goal of face-to-face fundraising is to find and nurture new supporters of Christian Aid who will give long term gifts by direct debit.
This is essential as it means we have regular, predictable income and allows us to commit to supporting poor communities in the long term and for this reason, we will continue to use this very effective way of raising money.
