Christian Aid carries out face-to-face fundraising in public spaces such as shopping centres and festivals.
This type of fundraising enables us to speak directly to members of the public and is a great way for you, the supporter, to hear about our work and learn where your regular donation will go.
Face-to-face fundraising is extremely valuable to us as it enables us to meet people who we may otherwise not have been in contact with us.
How can you spot us?
Our teams wear a black Christian Aid t-shirt with our logo on the sleeve. They always carry photo ID and are always in an area that is clearly identified by Christian Aid banners.
Our fundraisers only ask for regular gifts via Direct Debit and are not authorised to accept one-off cash gifts.
This week we are going to be at the following locations:
Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre, Tunbridge Wells
Monday 5 January - Wednesday 7 January
The Friary Shopping Centre, Guildford
Thursday 8 January - Saturday 10 January
If you have any questions please do call us on 020 7523 2225 or email info@christian-aid.org.
Telephone fundraising
Christian Aid uses telephone fundraising to talk to people who are interested in our work, asking them to provide support through a regular donation.
This helps us achieve our goal to make a genuine difference in some of the poorest communities in the world.
Even the smallest donation can make a big difference.
Our telephone fundraising has been particularly successful during emergency appeals.
We use this method to raise money for our vital work and to help supporters learn more about what we do, whether it’s our emergency relief projects, long-term development work or our campaigning.
As a supporter you play a vital role in what we can achieve together and we will always try to help by giving you as much information as possible.
To do this we may call you from time to time.
If you ever need to know whether a call is genuine, please do call us on 020 7523 2225 or email info@christian-aid.org.
