What is zorbing?
Zorbing is the recreation of rolling downhill inside a sphere of transparent plastic.
What time is the Sponsored Zorb happening?
The Christian Aid Sponsored Zorb is happening on Saturday 19 March 2011. All zorbs will take place between 12pm and 3.30pm. Nearer the time, you will be allocated a 30 minute time-slot for your zorb (time slot requests will be accommodated as much as possible) – you will therefore not be required to stay for the whole time.
How long does a zorb take?
The length of the ride will depend on weather conditions on the day. Most zorbs take approximately 10 minutes (including entrance, the ride and exit).
Can I go down in a zorb alone?
No – all zorbs take 2 people per ride… so why not sign-up a friend to do it with you?
What is the difference between an “aqua” ride and a “harnessed” ride?
An aqua zorb involves two people sitting in the zorb with a few bucket-fuls of water! You then splash and slide about as the ball rotates around you!
A harnessed zorb is when two people are harnessed into the zorb, facing each other. You then go head over heels down the run!
Is it safe?
Orb360 (the operating company) have a 100% safety record. A full risk assessment has been undertaken and they have fully comprehensive operating insurance with public liability for £5million. On-the-day you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and a liability waiver form.
Can people come and watch?
Yes! Spectators (including dogs) are definitely encouraged!
