Three Peaks Challenge 2008

Seventy-two hardy souls conquered Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike in only 24 hours in our 2008 Three Peaks Challenge.

The ten teams raised more than 30,000 for Christian Aids vital work.

The fastest team were the lads from Wincanton Haulage (pictured below), who climbed out of their trucks and up all three peaks in an incredible combined time of just 11 hours and 32 minutes.

The award for the best bacon buttie has to go to the drivers of Team Warrington who produced plates full of the stuff at 8am at the bottom of Scafell Pike.

And Reservoir Dogs team captain, Tom Colgon, deserves special consideration for his love of kendal mint cake after munching on it throughout the challenge.
