Christian Aid Week 2008 will be finishing on a high note in Wales with a concert at Cardiff’s premiere Welsh language music venue.
Popular folk singer Gwyneth Glyn and electro-pop band Clinigol (Clinical) will be among a number of leading music acts playing at Clwb Ifor Bach on Saturday 17 May in support of Christian Aid Week.
Gwyneth Glyn performed at Christian Aid’s Cut the Carbon rally in Cardiff last year. She penned a song about climate change - ‘Gaea’n Gynnar’ (Winter’s Early) - especially for the day.
Electro-pop band Clinigol are brothers Geraint and Christian Aid’s very own Aled Pickard.
With more artists yet to be confirmed, it promises to be a fantastic evening of live music that will also help raise money for Christian Aid’s work.
The doors open at 7.30 pm. Clwb Ifor Bach is at 11 Womanby Street, Cardiff, CF10 1BR.
For more information, email Aled Pickard or call him on 029 2084 4646.
