Noor Islam from the Sylhet region of flood-prone Bangladesh was once an impoverished rickshaw puller and labourer. Now he is a quietly successful smallholder who has managed to build a new house on raised land to protect him and his family from the regular floods that plague the region.
The secret of his success? A batch of ducks received on credit from one of our partner organisations in Bangladesh.
