A new independent evaluation of Christian Aid�s tsunami programme praises our strong and committed response especially in building huge numbers of new homes.
The evaluation which took place in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the UK, says: �Unusually for an evaluation exercise of this breadth, the results are strongly positive. The key common elements are the richness and diversity made possible by Christian Aid�s partnership approach. This not only allows for a more locally relevant response, but also greatly facilitates the transition process from relief to recovery, and wider social development.�
The report highlights the key strengths of our tsunami response over the last three years. We can always improve, so it also makes recommendations to strengthen our emergency response for the future. Read a full copy of the evaluation and our response to the report below.
