| Diarmuid Gavin welcomes you to the eco-house Welcome to the global garden and eco-house that I developed in partnership with Christian Aid. I'm a gardener and garden designer first and foremost, rather than a climate change scientist or politician. But for anyone interested in the future of our earth, climate change is obviously one of the biggest issues facing all of us.
That's why I was keen to get involved with the global garden and eco-house.

It shows how people in some of the world's poorest countries are living with the daily realities of climate change – tackling disasters like droughts and floods that seem to be happening more frequently and living with daily effects of unpredictable weather.
I was lucky to go to Kenya with Christian Aid and to meet inspirational people who are providing positive solutions to the problems.

With Christian Aid’s help, they are adapting their way of farming and their way of living to better prepare them for the challenges the climate is throwing at them. I hope you get a chance to read about my trip, and see that there are stories of hope in amongst all the doom and gloom. Everyone can make a difference. It would be great if you were inspired to support Christian Aid’s work and why not look at making a few changes to your own lifestyle to help lower your carbon contributions to climate change.’ Thank you, Diarmuid Gavin
