Governance and Transparency Fund
In 2008 Christian Aid launched a five-year programme supported by a £5 million grant from the Department for International Development's Governance and Transparency Fund.
The programme is redressing power imbalances in favour of marginalised groups, such as women and indigenous people, giving them the chance to be part of decision-making processes. It works in Brazil, Dominican Republic, Tajikistan, Iraq, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
